The 5th Leigh Village Food Festival
The village of Leigh in Dorset is to host its annual food festival on Saturday July 17th 2010. Situated near Sherborne, the Leigh Village Food Festival is now in its fifth year with activities again centering around the Village Hall. Celebrations will be opened by local restaurateur and BBC Marsterchef 2009 Mat Follas. Uniquely, this appetising foodie event also has the added bonus of being combined with the village's very own classic car show. Not only are you be able to sample some of the finest produce Dorset has to offer, you can do so amongst some fine examples of British automotive history. The days events include children’s activities, cookery demonstrations, refreshments, entertainment and horticultural displays in St Andrew’s Church. For further information contact the organiser: Mrs Elizabeth Turnbull on 01935 873846 or via email at julian.turnbull@virgin.net
